Fort Constitution Ride and BBQ/Picnic

Meeting Place: Brit Bits, Rye NH
Departure Time: 10:00 AM
Details: Depart Brit Bits and ride down the NH coast to Hampton. Return to Portsmouth/New Castle via an inland route. Stop off and tour Fort Constitution in New Castle. Proceed to the Great Island Commons for a BBQ/picnic, we have a pavilion reserved right on the water. There are BBQ grills or just bring a picnic lunch, gas grills are allowed if you want to bring one. Bring your own beverages. There is a picnic table but suggest you bring your own chairs. There is plenty of shade in case it is a hot, sunny day (we can hope). There is a playground for children, restrooms and a sandy ocean beach, if you are so inclined. Admission to the Great Island Common is $ 10.00 per car, $ 5.00 for 65 and older.
