Castle in the Clouds Car Show

Join us for our annual Castle Car Show with an incredible gathering of automobiles at this classic country estate! View stunning examples of antique cars and motorcycles dating from the turn of the 20th century in an equally stunning setting.
Judges will give awards in 3 categories: Plant Era (1914-1941), this year’s featured category (the 1960s), and Judges’ Choice. The three winners will receive a plaque.

The Castle-in-the-Clouds Car Show is coming up in two weeks – and Saturday Oct 5. This Show has been a BCNH favorite for many years.
But there is one major limitation to this Show. They don’t have the manpower (volunteers) necessary to group the cars by Class – so they just park them in the order that they arrive. This means that we could be peppered all over the Field.
But we have a solution. If we all gather in one place a mile or so away from the Castle – and then all arrive together – then we will all be parked together.
BCNH Northern Council Member Paul Ardito has found such a place.
If you put 213 Governor Wentworth Highway (Route 109) into Google or your GPS and you will find that this address is almost exactly 1.7 miles from the Back Gate to the Castle.
213 Governor Wentworth Highway (Route 109) is the address of a large, new light brown building that is within sight of Buckey’s Restaurant (on the opposite side of the street) and has a good size parking area in front of it. We can gather there between 8:45 and 9:00 and then caravan together over to the Castle.
If you are driving up from (or through) Wolfeboro take Rte 109A (just repaved) to where it joins with Rte 109 and continue to where Rte 171 joins Rte 109. Continue on Rte 109 for 1.2 miles – just passing Buckey’s Restaurant on your left. Turn right where you see the “Elect McConkey” sign into the parking area in front of the building.
If you’re coming from Rte 25 and Rte 109 from north of the Lake, follow Rte 109 for just abut 1 mile until you can see Buckey’s Restaurant ahead on your right. 213 will be on your left. Look for a “Elect Parker” sign.
When we go to the Castle, we will turn left leaving 213 and go 1.2 miles to where Rte 171 forks left and Rte 109 forks right. Take the left fork onto Rte 171 and go 1/2 mile further to the Castle-in-the-Clouds Back Entrance on your left. There will be “Car Show” signs there.
WE STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU PRE-REGISTER NO LATER THAN NEXT THURSDAY Oct 3. Our understanding is that, if you are NOT pre-registered, then you will have to go through a separate Check-in Lane and may get separated from the rest of us.
Print out your Registration Form and bring it with you.
Anyone from the Southern part of the State that would like to caravan up with me from Historic Motor Sports (HMS) is welcome to join me at HMS for a 7:15 Departure Time. It will take us about an Hour-and-a-half to get to the gathering place.
