Blessing of the Fleet – 2026

Start Your Engines: The Blessing of the Fleet is Back!

There is a certain magic to the first Saturday in May. It’s the time of year when the salt is finally off the roads, the air carries a hint of spring, and the hum of British engineering returns to the streets of New Hampshire. To celebrate the start of the driving season, British Cars of NH invites you to a cherished annual tradition: The Blessing of the Fleet.

On Saturday, May 2, we will gather at the iconic Holy Grail Restaurant and Pub in Epping, NH. This isn’t just a car show; it’s a ceremony to ensure a season of reliable Lucas electrics (we can hope!), smooth gearboxes, and safe travels on every winding backroad.

The Ritual We will meet in the Holy Grail parking lot at 11:00 AM. We are honored to welcome back The Reverend Mark Pendleton from Christ Church in Exeter. Rev. Pendleton will perform the traditional Rites for the Blessing of the Fleet, moving through the rows of MGs, Triumphs, Jaguars, and Minis to sprinkle a little Holy Water on each vehicle. Whether you believe in divine intervention or just good luck, it’s a wonderful way to kick off the year with fellow enthusiasts.

Note: We will be “passing the hat” for a collection to be presented to Rev. Pendleton as an honorarium for his time and blessing.

The Feast Once the cars are blessed and the spirits are high, it’s time to refuel ourselves. At 11:30 AM sharp, the doors to the Holy Grail open. We will head up to the Choir Loft—the perfect setting for a British car club—to enjoy a fantastic brunch and lunch together.
