The Monadnock Arts Tourrequires a different approach. For this Tour, 55 local Artists will open their studiosfor visitors on both Saturday and Sunday. Since we will be on the Wool Arts Tour on Saturday, Joyce & I plan to do the Monadnock Arts Tour on Sunday.
With 55 Studios available, it is simply not possible to visit them all – and, different artists will appeal to each of our BCNH Members.
So, Joyce & I will review the Artists as their works are represented on the website (https://monadnockart.org/plan-your-tour/) and pick the six or eight artists that appear most interesting to us. We will then plot a route to visit those artists.
We encourage you to also review the Artist’s works and to plan to visit the Studios that appeal to you.
I am in communication with a couple of local restaurants to see if we can all meet for Drinks and Dinner after the Tour. Since the Tour officially ends at 5:00, Joyce & I will probably get to the restaurant for drinks between 5:15 and 5:30.
We would welcome any BCNH Members that would like to join us at the restaurant to meet us there between 5:15 and 5:30– whether you “do” the Arts Tour, or not.
Which restaurant we choose will depend to some extent on how many people do plan to join us. 5 to 10 people might work well for one restaurant – 15 to 25 people would require a different venue.
Again, we do need a head-count so we can pick the “right” restaurant. Please let me know NOW if you think you would like to get in on the fun.
3. But there’s more!!
On the same weekend artists in Cheshire County have also planned their own Tour. See: www.fallfoliageartstudiotour.com
As with the Monadnock Arts Tour, you can go on the www.fallfoliageartstudiotour.comwebsite to see their listing of the 23 participating artists spread oput between New Ipswich and Keene. You might find that you would like to add one or two of those artists to your own Tour Route.
Again, this Tour officially ends at 5:00so we can all move in the direction of the selected restaurant to arrive there between 5:15 and 5:30
As stated above, we do need a head-count so we can pick the “right” restaurant. Please let me know NOW if you think you would like to get in on the fun.
It should be a great weekend for the Arts.
